The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has released new information in their investigation into the death of Maureen Haugdahl.

Police found Haugdahl, 52, deceased in her home on May 15.

Sheriff’s Deputy Involved in Car Crash

Tuesday at 2:49 PM there was a minor car crash involving a sheriff’s deputy. A 200 Suzi driven by Stephen Waldron, 30, of Interlachen was westbound on State Road 20 west of Keuka Road. A 2006 Ford Expedition driven by George Traber, 43, of Palatka (a sheriff’s deputy) was westbound on State Road 20, stopped in the westbound lane.

Putnam County Call Center Closing, Displaces 289 Employees

Allorica Incorporated, which is based in California, announced it is closing its call center in Putnam County. A total of 289 people work at the facility, which is being closed on June 29th.

Recent attempts to remove the Kirkpatrick Dam that created Rodman Reservoir in 1968 have proven unsuccessful, according to B.A.S.S.

A 60-day notice of intent to sue filed by Earthjustice expired on Saturday, ending the current threat to bass fishing at Rodman Reservoir.
